Your Personal SpreadsheetHow developing a personal spreadsheet allows you not only to see financial reality but also help you see the wealth-filled life you already live.  Understanding Gross, Net, and knowing how this base information empowers you and your family - great information to learn and teach others.  
Record Keeping for your Brain TypeOne reason people end up with low credit scores is because their financial record keeping systems don't match with their brain orginizing type. There is freedom in finding out what that you have a natural ability to keep organized if your system matches your brain type. What Brain Organizing Strengths do you have and what easy systems can you put in place to take advantage of your natural ability?  Find out and be amazed.

This two part training program has homework but you will find it enjoyable. Think aboout having an employee (YOUR MONEY) and grading how much value it brings into your life. You work with a Certified Financial Coach to learn budgeting concepts that help you come to know your money from a new perspective.  Get rid of guilt, blame, shame or concern about the past and start anew with a commitment TO HAVE MONEY SERVE YOU.

In part 2, we look at one of the biggest family money leaks and stressors. We teach you to look at what each member of your family finds important and we help you find new ways to use money so it supports what works. You not only become more efficient with the money you have but also find a new way to open family communication around money and wealth. 

Comparative Shopping -- new habits, wise choicesWhat does it take to get a good deal and why might it be important?  You learn the Resource Circle Rule and how it keeps you from making snap spending decisions. Participate in a discussion and participate in case study analysis. Share what you learn with the important people in your life as you finalize your homework -- playing a game with people close to you that allows friends and family to look at spending differently. Learn the use of "evidence boxes" as a way to change habits and learn a new perspective regarding spending. 
Insurance, Understanding what is important and what is a sales pitch

Insurance. How do you determine what is necessary and how costs of insurance are calculated?  How can you tell if you are under or over-insured. Learn from an unbiased insurance coach who is under obligation never to sell you insurance.  

Find out what insurance companies need to do and the laws around what can and can't be said or promised. Take an insurance survey to see what is needed to give you peace of mind around your coverage decisions while keeping your cash flow in mind.  

Saving -- there is more than meets the eye Learn basics on how banks work and what accounts you need for protection. How much should you really keep in an emergency fund?  What about medical savings accounts?  Work with your instructor to learn how to research the right bank or credit union in your community to serve your needs. Learn why the pennies you save and earn can make a big difference.  
FICO -- It's more than a four letter wordWhat exactly is FICO and what difference does it make in your everyday life. You would be surprised - it dictates insurance rates, mortgage rates and also can hurt your chances to be hired for that job you really want. Learn general rules to keep your credit score from falling and what it takes to build and keep a good score.  Find out what programs are available for Credit Repair and how NOT to become a victim when you may be most financially vulnerable.
The basics of your work benefits and  retirement systemYou are not alone in not wanting to look at your retirement plan statement when it arrives in the mail. You may be shocked to hear the statistics on where a majority of individuals keep their retirement funds and how little attention most people pay to this asset. Bring in your information regarding your pension plan -- and make sure you are not leaving money on the table by not taking advantage of all financial benefits your company provides. Depending on corporate sponsorship of the FinLAB program, FinLAB instructors have agreed to review retirement system documents prior to this class -- to point out various good and not-as-good features of the plan.
